The relationship view is an easy, visual way to see the relationships between different variables in the system. Relationships are shown between model point fields, input/mortality tables, as well as variables at all levels.
Access the relationship view by selecting “View Relationships” when viewing the details of any variable.
Relationship Node Types
On initial load, the immediate children and parents of the current variable are loaded. Here’s an example:
Available Actions on the Relationship View:
Click the “Open in a new window” icon. | Opens the variable, field, or table in a new window so it can be further examined. |
Click & Drag a Node | Moves the node on the grid. |
Shift + Click & Drag | Selects multiple nodes so they can then be dragged and moved around the grid. |
Click a collapsed In/Out port on a node | Loads the parent or child relationships for that relationship. |
Click and drag anywhere on the grid background | Moves the entire grid so users can navigate around. |
Scroll the mouse scroll wheel | Zoom in/out of the entire grid to show more or less detail. |
