To run the model, we first need to create a projection from the template we created in the last step. Templates cannot be run directly. Instead, we have to create a projection from the template that can be processed.
From the projection template screen, click on the Create Projection button in the upper right.
This will bring up the Create Projection window, which will allow you to set a name from the projection. Enter any name, then click the Create button. This will load a new screen that looks very similar to the projection template screen we were just looking at.
At this point, we can still make further edits to the projection if desired to change inputs and assumptions being used to be different from what we specified in the template. For this guide, we are not going to make any further changes now. To run the projection, click on the 'Validate & Run' button in the upper right corner.
If there are any problems with the way you've set up the projection, the following window will appear. Clicking on the link will take you to a detailed report of all the problems found, which you can then correct.
If the validation finishes successfully, then the model processed and calculates all the data entered. Once the model finishes, you should see the following screen:
If you click on the View Results button, you will see the model results, which will be covered in the next article - Analyzing Pricing Results.
