To use the Slope Life Library or any of your workspace models as a starting point for a new model, you can use the Copy function found in Model Development.
There are a few settings on this page, provided to facilitate copying the necessary data and tables:
- Copy files: When selected, the files for selected templates, asset allocations, sales allocations and scenario tables will be included with the copy. The copy of these files will be created in the file manager, with a number appended to the file name if there is a conflict. If you already have this file saved in the file manager from another model, it is not necessary to copy the file.
- Auto-Include Required Tables: When toggled on, this setting will ensure that SLOPE automatically includes Data and Decrement Tables referenced by the Products, Projection Templates and Portfolios selected above. When this toggle is enabled, you cannot manually select Data and Decrement tables.
When copying a Slope Life Library model, all entities and all files will be checked by default. The "Auto-Include Required Tables" setting will also be toggled on. When copying a Workspace model, the files will be unchecked by default as you typically already have a copy of these files in your file manager.
Note: If you are trying to update an existing model with a new product from the Slope Life Library or another model, it is recommended that you merge the additions into your model using the Manage module.
